About the Junior Dance Team
The Yakima Valley Warriors Junior Dance Team Program provides a fun and memorable experience for young girls in the areas of dance, cheer, teamwork, a healthy lifestyle, and self esteem. This is a great opportunity for young girls to learn from the best dancers in the Yakima area and to get an opportunity to perform during the Yakima Valley Warrior indoor football games! Don’t miss out on your chance to be a part of this Junior Dance Team. Junior Dancers will participate in seven clinics where they will learn a halftime routine to be performed at the Youth Indoor Football games as well as at the Warriors games.
The program will be directed by Krista Coplin who is the Director of Entertainment for the organization and a Lady Warrior. Crystal Chestnut, Dance Director for the Lady Warriors, will also be assisting with the junior dancers. Choreography will be created and taught by the Lady Warriors Dance Team.
Qualifications:
• Must be no younger than 7 years old, and no older than 12 years old.
• No dance experience required.
• Dancers must be at all seven clinics and home games. Clinics will be held on Fridays before home games. All home games are held on Saturdays.
• Must have white, clean tennis shoes for games.
• Must complete application, waiver, and $85 program fee.
• Registration cut off date is April 1st, 2010.
Items Each Dancer Will Receive:
• Junior Dancer Game Uniform
• Junior Dancer Pom Poms
• CD of Halftime Music
• Free admission to all Games
Payment Information:
• There is an $85 program fee per child for the season.
• The registration fee covers everything listed under the “Items Each Dancer Will Receive” section.
• You may pay with cash or check. Please make checks out to the Yakima Valley Warriors.
What to Bring to Clinics:
• Wear a comfortable top and shorts or jazz pants.
• Dance or gym shoes.
• Wear layers.
• Bring a snack and water.
• A bag to carry all personal items.
